How to choose the right investment property

How to choose the right investment property

High yields & strong capital appreciation is tough to achieve these days, here are my tips on choosing the right investment property...

Ask yourself...

1 - Why are you doing this & what is it you’re looking for from the investment? Are you planning to move relatives into the property within time or would like your children to take over it?

2 - Are you after high yield or strong capital appreciation? This will affect the location you buy in and type of property.

3 - Have you got experience in property investment? If you’ve never bought a property before buying a derelict home might not be for you.

4 - How much time do you have? If you want a hands off approach, a modern apartment may do the trick. If this will be your full time occupation a student let or HMO might work.
