Reading Property Market Update - January 2025
As we step into January 2025, the Reading property market continues to demonstrate resilience and adaptability in the face of changing economic conditions. The average property price in Reading saw a modest increase of 1.5% compared to November 2024, bringing the average to ยฃ345,000.
Year-on-year, this reflects a substantial rise of 6.8% from January 2024, indicating a strong demand for homes in our vibrant community. Several factors are influencing these numbers: the local job market remains robust, attracting new residents, while interest rates have stabilized, encouraging buyers to take the plunge into homeownership. Additionally, the ongoing investment in local amenities and infrastructure continues to enhance Reading's appeal.
Looking ahead, I anticipate a dynamic year for the Reading property market, particularly as spring approaches and more homeowners consider listing their properties. This period typically sees an uptick in buyer activity, which will be heightened this year due to the Stamp Duty changes from April.

Service your boiler

Bringing a Taste of France to Reading
"After cheffing for 20 years in Restaurants, I decided to share a little slice of France. So since 2019, I have started baking cakes and pastries just like my mother and grandmother used to do when I was a kid. So the Wolseley street Bakery was born from the comfort of my home.
2024 brought a new chapter to this beautiful journey, where I moved the bakery out of my home into a commercial premises. This is also a shop front for you to just come up, have a coffee and see what I will have ready for you."
