πŸ₯‘πŸ  February Property of the month 🏠πŸ₯‘

Nestled into a tranquil setting within Warfield, charm exudes from every corner of this 380 year old property. The current owners have restored previously hidden features and kept the property in immaculate condition. Make sure to check out the video!

Owners Comments - We fell in love with its homely feel, quirkiness, and the swimming pool. We knew there was a hidden Inglenook fireplace, so we removed the woodchip wallpaper to uncover the fireplace beam ends. The original bread oven had gone, and the brickwork needed some attention. So, we brought in a specialist builder to renovate the fireplace using the old bricks and a few reclaimed ones. He even copied the original style of marking in the lime mortar.
We hope the next custodians will cherish the home and have fun here. We certainly have. This house has a lot of love to give.

Area Comments - Gough's Lane is peacefully quiet, with the chirp of birds heard above anything else, whilst also being conveniently located for the local supermarket. Warfield offers plenty of parks and woodland trails to explore, with Bracknell Town Centre only a short drive away. Access to the A329 & M4 is quick and simple just a couple of miles away.

Ellen & Sanjay's Comments - Every home tells a story, and Lynwood Cottage is certainly steeped in a rich history; there are many charming original features throughout the home as well as various latter additions to the property allowing it to function perfectly for modern day family life. We are thrilled to help find the new owners looking to call this their home for many many years to come.

For decades, the flat was the natural starting point for many first-time home buyers. The first rung of the ladder. The affordable option. The stepping stone to something bigger. For landlords, it was a dependable investment. For first-time buyers, it was often the only way in.

The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) suggest something rather unexpected. After years of worsening affordability, the picture has begun to improve. Wages have risen faster than house prices since 2021, nudging the headline affordability ratios in the right direction. On the face of it, that feels like progress.

Across the UK and here in Warfield, the property market remains surprisingly active despite the issues at home and abroad. House prices are steady, buyers are still being selective, and the market itself is evolving.
