Location

One of the biggest advantages of living in Tadley and Thatcham is their location. Both towns are situated on the Hampshire/West Berkshire boarder, both counties are known for their beautiful countryside and vibrant towns and cities. Tadley is located in the north-west of Hampshire, while Thatcham is just a few miles to the east in West Berkshire. Both towns are within easy reach of major transportation routes, making them ideal for commuters who work in nearby cities such as Reading, Basingstoke, and Newbury.

Community

Another reason why Tadley and Thatcham are great places to live is the sense of community that residents enjoy. Both towns have a strong community spirit, with residents regularly coming together to celebrate local events and support local causes. The towns also have a range of community facilities, including sports clubs, community centres, and libraries, where residents can come together and get to know one another.

Amenities

Tadley and Thatcham are also well-equipped with amenities that make everyday life more convenient and enjoyable. Both towns have a range of shops and supermarkets, as well as restaurants, pubs, and cafes. They also have excellent schools, medical facilities, and recreational facilities, such as parks and sports fields. My personal favourite is the skate parks, my kids love taking their scooters there.

Nature

For those who love the outdoors, Tadley and Thatcham are surrounded by natural beauty. Both towns are located near the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is home to stunning landscapes, historic villages, and walking and cycling trails. If you haven’t already, check out the Roman city in Silchester, its a lovely walk (with or without your dog) and you get a real sense of its history as you amble around, also the Alpacas near the church give the kids something to look forward to.
