It was the rural country location that first attracted us to the property with a choice of excellent schools. We love that it's peaceful and quiet, located down a private street away from main roads with no through traffic so itβs naturally secure and free of road noise, yet just 39 minutes from Fleet Station to London Waterloo. It has offered us the best of both worlds with the large towns of Camberley, Reading and Basingstoke all within easy reach, with fantastic walks right on the doorstep into the vast Bramshill Forest with no need to get in the car.
There are so many mature trees surrounding the whole house but the garden is incredibly quiet, perfect at the weekend, providing a lovely area to relax. The patio which runs across the breadth of the house is bathed in sunshine from morning into late afternoon whilst the rest of the garden enjoys sun throughout the day.
The kitchen is the heart of the house and where we spend the majority of our time, itβs a great space to cook and spend time with friends and family. The lounge is very large and bright, perfect for watching movies in front of the fire and entertaining. The family room is ideal for watching films and sport and we love using the dining room for family dinners and celebrating special occasions.
When it comes to eating out, we have many good restaurants and takeaways close by in Hartley Wintney, Yateley and Wokingham. There is a great choice of pubs in the area including our friendly village locals, The White Hart & The Tally Ho as well as The Chequers and Frog & Wicket where we often walk to.
Weβve lived here since 2006 and we will miss the space and flexibility that our home offers and its woodland setting with such a diversity of birds, from woodpeckers, pheasants to the hooting community of owls and the flock of Canadian geese that fly over most days. Weβve hosted lots of big parties here, making the most of the open flat garden to set up a marquee and play sports with the doors from both the lounge and kitchen opening out onto the patio to create a lovely flowing social space. Living here you feel that you are in a peaceful rural area yet close to all the towns and amenities that you could need. We will be sad to leave this house as it holds a special place in our hearts but it's time for our next chapter and to let someone enjoy it just as much as we have.

When it comes to special houses, Stoneycroft is right up there... We are absolutely delighted to have the opportunity of selling such an incredible family home in a stunning setting. Having been built in 1992 by renowned builders Berkeley Homes, our sellers are only the second owners since it was new and as you can tell have really looked after this home. On entry, the central entrance hall has been laid entirely with solid oak flooring which spans through to the downstairs cloakroom, study and main living room. The downstairs cloakroom has been beautifully finished and includes a cast iron sink but you also have a storage cupboard under the stairs.
The living room is a great size and has been extended by our current sellers back in 2009 giving you extra space and a lovely vaulted ceiling and double doors leading onto the garden. The Chesney fireplace is a fantastic feature in this room and makes quite the centre piece.
The Kitchen in this home is truly special, not only is it a great entertaining space but it also features a Fired Earth kitchen with a professional grade cooker and extractor. You also have the benefit of not only a separate utility room, but also a boot room giving you access onto the side of the house. There are two further receptions rooms just off of the kitchen one of which is being used a snug to the rear, whilst the other was an extension being used as a dining space with a beautiful vaulted ceiling boasting skylights and exposed beam.
Upstairs this home offers you five great size bedrooms with two of them having en suite bathrooms. The master bedroom is a great size and comes complete with built in storage and a superbly fitted four piece en suite following the same theme as the others with a cast iron bath and even a TV in the wall. There is also a family bathroom done to the same style and solid oak flooring throughout the upstairs.
Outside the home offers you an incredibly private rear garden which is perfect for entertaining and enjoying the natural wildlife in its surroundings. Whilst to the front the gated entrance offers ample driveway parking for multiple vehicles coupled with the detached double garage with motorised door. In fact the entire plot spans half an acre from front to back.
It's important to mention that there is planning permission granted that includes the provision of an additional room over the family room to create a guest suite if you wanted to create more space in the future. A big bonus is that this home is offered to the market with no onward chain and is ready to move straight into.
Our sellers have beautifully summed up in their comments above why this is such a great place to live and why they love this house. If you are looking for a spacious family home in a great location then this really is not one to miss out on, we can't wait to show you around!

Mud Lane is a private unadopted road that leads to a handful of houses off of Lower Common Road. At the end of the road there is a great children's playpark but only a 5 minute walk away you have acres of woodland to explore with the popular Bramshill Forest which is perfect for an afternoon stroll or taking the dog for a walk. If you're looking to get something to eat or something to drink then you are spoilt for choice with both the Tally Ho only a 5 - 10 minute walk or the Chequers only a 5 minute drive in the other direction which are both very popular with the locals. The home sits with in many of the local school catchments but is walking distance of St. Neon's Prep school also. Reading Town centre is only a 20 minute drive away with the likes of the Oracle shopping centre and many popular retailers and restaurants to chose from, however a 15 minute drive in the other direction will take you to Wokingham Town centre again with choice of supermarkets and local shops. For commuting you have excellent access to both M3 and M4 motorways from here.
