Your guide to buying a property in England

Your guide to buying a property in England

"Avocado Property's Guide to Buying a Property in England: A Hassle-Free Adventure!"

Congratulations on taking the first step towards becoming a proud property owner! Buying a property can be an exciting and daunting experience, but don't worry, Avocado Property is here to help you through the process with our easy-to-follow guide.

Step 1: Get Your Finances in Order. Before you start your property search, it's important to get a clear picture of your budget and figure out how much you can afford to spend. This will help you narrow down your search and make sure you don't fall in love with a property that's out of your price range. (If you need a top mortgage broker, just give us a holla and we will recommend one to you)

Step 2: Find Your Dream Property. Now that you know what you can afford, it's time to start looking for your perfect property! There are plenty of ways to search for properties in England, from estate agents website, portals or you can even search the hashtag #BeatThePortals to see properties that are not online yet. Don't be afraid to reach out to Avocado Property for help, we're here to make your life easier!

Step 3: Make an Offer. Once you've found your dream property, it's time to make an offer. This is where things can get a little more complicated, but don't worry, Avocado Property is here to guide you every step of the way. We'll work with any of our clients the onward seller's agent to negotiate a fair price and make sure everything is in order. If you need a full report on any home in the UK we can supply that to you too.

Step 4: Hire a Solicitor. Now that your offer has been accepted, it's time to pick a solicitor. A solicitor is a legal ‘expert’ (Sorry, a little inside humour with the inverted commers on expert there) who will help you navigate the legal process of buying a property. They will help you with all the paperwork, from the contracts to the mortgage agreement. Check their google reviews and ideally use a recommend conveyancer. NOT one an estate agent is suggesting you use if they are taking a huge cut…

Step 5: Complete the Transaction. Once all the paperwork is in order, it's time to complete the transaction. This is when the sale is officially completed and you become the proud owner of your new property! Exchange comes first and this means it is legally bound.

Step 6: Move In and Enjoy Your New Home! It's finally time to move into your new home and start making memories! Congratulations on successfully navigating the legal process of buying a property in England! Tip 101 – build the beds first and put the kids curtains up next. Then crack on this the boxes….

We hope this guide has been helpful and made the process of buying a property in England a little less daunting.

Remember, Avocado Property Partners are here to help you every step of the way, so don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
